Has anybody already seen the movie "The Internship" or "Prakti.com" (as it is called in German)?
I watched it back in spring in the States and saw it again this week.
A nice movie about working at "Google" in San Francisco. And although it is "just" a movie, I think it is worth seeing. It gives a pretty good insight into google, the best place to work for and into diversity, team spirit and how interns are treated (does that ring a bell, dear fellows from the Russian course? *g*)

I think it is a nice movie,too. In my opinion it gives an insight in the competition of interns or the fight for the position as an intern in such a company. I also think it is showing that brains is very important, but it is also good to have experience and to be able to find your way in such a competitive environment. Additionally, it shows again that social competence and teamwork can help you to reach your goals. ;-)
AntwortenLöschenI also watched the movie, but I don't think that it's very realistic. Some parts maybe, but the way they chose the interns for example, who got a contract, was a bit weird. And all the characters were pretty extreme, so I wouldn't take this movie too serious.

AntwortenLöschenThanks for that interesting recommendation, I also watched the movie and I think it´s pretty funny. Of course, it is a comedy, but it shows how attractive Google is as an employer since they offer a lot of benefits for its employees. However, as you can also see in the movie, in order to get into that company you have to overcome a lot of competition and be the best in your area.
