Diversity management is becoming very important in the global business nowadays. Most organisations look for the diverse workforce, as different people could bring different talents, interests and knowledge. However, there are still many executives think that: " Diversity has no real value tangible to the growth of our business". So do you agree with them?
I think that diversity has a huge value because the more people differ from one another, the more their views and ideas differ. If you are able to manage diversity properly, I am convinced that you will be able to turn it into a competitive advantage towards your competitors with a less diverse workforce. However, as already mentioned, a proper diversity management is essential because if you don't have this, diversity can also lead to conflicts and make workers less efficient.

AntwortenLöschenI also go along with Verena’s opinion that the importance of a diverse workforce is more and more increasing in the today’s world and can and often is THE COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE in global companies – as we not only saw during the presentation of Mr. Neuwirth presenting TNT, a company that makes diversity management its competitive advantage. As you already mentioned, diversity allows organizations to bring in more different opinions, attitudes and perspectives and thus, deliver more valuable and qualitative outcomes. This is particularly crucial when providing goods or services all over the world and therefore dealing with different cultural values and beliefs.

As diversity management is very important, organisations should define a well diversity management plan in order to recruit and keep the talented employees. However, for some somebody it is not easy to work with people from different regions, belief and backgrounds, like Mr. Neuwirth has told us, it is very essential to respect other's cultures and moreover, conflict management should be also considered.
In my opinion , pretty close as you guys, Human beings differ in age, social and national background, gender, sexual orientation, physical and mental ability as well as religious belief and worldview, also diversity is a source of creativity and innovation that can provide the potential for future development and competitive advantage.
